How to play

Survive as long as you can in an underground map you reshape by hand. The surface is deadly—dig bunkers, choke points, and killboxes so the horde has to run your gauntlet, not a straight line to you.

Each round has two parts: a prep phase to dig and set traps, then a combat phase where you clear every zombie. Bigger later rounds add more, tougher, and faster undead, so you want scrap, a smart layout, and good aim.

Loop & resources

  • Prep (2:00 by default): dig dirt and surface, mine ore for scrap, and open T to build traps. Press Enter to start the round early, or the combat phase starts automatically when the prep clock hits zero.
  • Combat: all zombies start off-screen and path toward you. Killing the last one ends the round; you get a round bonus to score, then the next prep begins.
  • Scrap & parts: used for spike (3 scrap) and slow (2 scrap + 1 part) traps. Ammo, health, parts, and grenades can drop from zombies—walk over pickups.
  • Pickaxe: you get one after you clear round 2 (dropped if you do not have it yet), so you can keep tunneling in deeper levels.

Dig & terrain

  • Shovel (after round 3): dirt & ore only. Pickaxe (after round 10 + tiers at 20 / 25 / 30): breaks stone layers underground — equip from Q · slot 9, then hold LMB. Wrong tool shows a HUD hint.
  • Stone and walls stop bullets until you break them. Route zombies with corridors and open sightlines where you need them.

Traps & prep

  • T trap menu · 1 / 2 pick type (while open; close menu or use 3–9 to swap guns)
  • LMB place on a valid ground tile (no shooting while the trap menu is open). Traps need solid support below; close T to dig.
  • Enter to start the round from prep.

Meta

  • Esc pause. On this menu, Enter also starts a run.
  • Grenades and molotovs: no reload, restock from drops. Use G / B to throw quickly or equip in Q and LMB. Score tracks your best run; depth and kills matter at game over.
